Why The Big Bang Theory Doesn't Feature Paige Swanson From Young Sheldon

Paige Swanson of "Young Sheldon" is Sheldon's intellectual rival and first crush. She's a memorable part of Sheldon's childhood, but she’s never acknowledged
on "Big Bang Theory."
Paige’s absence is simply a case of bad timing. "Big Bang Theory" ended after season 12, meaning fans never found out what happened to Paige after the events of "Young Sheldon."
Franchise producer Steve Holland told TVLine that Paige was only in nine episodes of "Young Sheldon," the majority of which aired after the parent series' final season.
"'Big Bang' was done, and there was no way to go, 'Can we go back and retrofit [her] into 'Big Bang Theory?”" Steve Holland said. Paige’s story may never be continued.
