Tim Roth Had A Hilarious Demand For His Pulp Fiction Role
By DANIELLE RYAN
Introduced as petty criminals plotting to rob a diner, Pumpkin and Honey Bunny, played by Tim Roth and Amanda Plummer, respectively, are unforgettable characters in "Pulp Fiction."
Their scenes perfectly encapsulate director Quentin Tarantino's storytelling style, but fans may be surprised to learn that Roth had a humorous demand before agreeing to the role.
According to Jason Bailey's book "Pulp Fiction: The Complete Story of Quentin Tarantino's Masterpiece," Roth agreed only on the condition that Plummer would carry a big weapon.
Roth elaborated on his demand for Tarantino in an interview with GQ, stating that he would take the part "as long as [Amanda’s] got a really big f***ing gun in her hand."
Of course Tarantino accepted Roth's request regarding Plummer's Honey Bunny and incorporated it into the final version of the film, a decision that resonated well with fans.
