The Twilight Zone’s Scariest Episode Has A Forgotten Sequel
By WILLIAM BIBBIANI
“The Twilight Zone” has many memorable episodes that have been reimagined, but only one episode has ever had a canonical sequel: “It’s a Good Life.”
“It's a Good Life” features a young boy with godlike abilities set in a world that has entirely vanished. Only Peaksville, Ohio, remains.
Anthony Fremont, a six-year-old telepath, alters reality by lighting adults on fire, turning them into human jack-in-the-boxes, and sending those who disobey to “the cornfield.”
“It’s a Good Life” received a sequel episode in the somewhat forgotten “Twilight Zone” reboot series that aired on UPN from 2002-2003.
The sequel brought back the original cast, with Anthony’s actor Billy Mumy now a full grown adult. Anthony is still keeping the citizens of Peaksville under his control.
Anthony now has a daughter named Audrey who inherited his reality-bending powers. Anthony’s mother gets Audrey to rebel against her dad, and the rest of the world is brought back.
