For wondering fans of “Gilligan’s Island,” Reddit investigators have used the speed and power of the Minnow to calculate a radius of where the shipwreck isle may be.
In the episode "It's a Bird, It's a Plane" Gilligan flies a jet pack away from the island and is spotted by a passing naval plane some 250 miles south of Hawai'i.
Resourceful fans calculated speed, distance & time from the S. S. Minnow’s port at Ala Wai yacht club in Honolulu, and factored in wind speeds from the category 1 hurricane.
It could have ended up 762 nautical miles away from Hawai'i, and likely was along the Hawai'ian archipelago and not the South Pacific.
