The 14 Best Sopranos Characters Ranked
By KYLE MILNER
14. Gloria Trillo
In the third season of the show, Tony Soprano meets Gloria Trillo (Annabella Sciorra), another patient of Dr. Melfi's, and he falls in love with her right away. Intelligent, confident, and independent, Gloria is arguably the one woman Tony could have plausibly left his wife Carmela for.
13. Artie Bucco
Artie Bucco (John Ventimiglia) is most known for being the co-owner and head chef of Vesuvio, an Italian restaurant that is well-liked by many of the characters on the show. Artie is a well-known local figure who is charismatic and ambitious, but behind the surface, he is incredibly insecure and longs to join Tony in his illegal endeavors.
12. Furio Giunta
Furio Giunta (Federico Castelluccio) grows close to the Soprano family because of his unrelenting ruthlessness on the job and commitment to Tony. He quickly develops emotions for Carmela, with the feelings being mutual, which causes a heart-pounding scene in which Furio pushes Tony into the rear propeller of a helicopter during a drunken night out.
11. Anthony 'A.J.' Soprano
It's clear from the start that A.J. Soprano (Robert Iler) is cut from a different cloth from that of his father. He has little to no interest in becoming the heir to the mob family legacy and lacks the sociopathic edge required to survive in the business; instead, A.J. is sensitive and frequently struggles to meet his parents' expectations of him.
10. Janice Soprano
Although Janice Soprano (Aida Turturro) and her younger brother Tony are ‌opposites, they actually have more in common than either would like to admit. Janice's murder of Richie Aprile after he strikes her during an argument is one of her finest moments, earning Tony's respect and proving that she's just as much a Soprano as her brother.
