The 12 Best Michael B. Jordan Movies, Ranked
By RACHEL HO
12. Fantastic Four
Michael B. Jordan, who stars as cocky troublemaker Johnny Storm, hoped that the work director Josh Trank and the cast put in would be apparent on the screen, but that wasn't the case. "Fantastic Four" is a listless film with stale and nonexistent chemistry between the cast and a wildly unimaginative plot.
11. Awkward Moment
Jordan, Miles Teller, and Zac Efron play three friends who decide to avoid relationships and have fun as single young men, only to find themselves in committed relationships and trying to hide the fact from each other. Sadly, “That Awkward Moment” is predictable and unfunny, but the three lead actors have good chemistry.
10. Blackout
Set in New York City during the Northeast blackout of 2003, the film moves through an inner-city neighborhood while exploring the fallout of the blackout in an attempt to comment on the disparity between the rich and the poor. Conceptually, the movie is interesting, but the results are less than stellar due to a terrible script.
9. A Journal for...
In "A Journal for Jordan," Jordan plays Charles Monroe King, a soldier serving in Iraq who keeps a journal for his new son that's full of advice and wisdom. The film fails to hit the right note because of Denzel Washington's overly saccharine direction and Jordan's awkward chemistry with lead actress Chanté Adams.
8. Pastor Brown
Jesse leaves her exotic dancing career behind and takes over as head of the church to honor the last wish of her dying father, but she faces resistance from the church's leadership group and her sister and resentment from her teenage son Tariq (Jordan). The film isn't a masterpiece, but it certainly has its audience.
