Stranger Things Season 5: Will Sadie Sink Return As Max Mayfield?

The end of "Stranger Things" Season 4 left viewers with many questions, such as what will become of Sadie Sink's Max Mayfield, as her character was left comatose.
However, her inclusion in Season 5's first-look cast photo suggests the character will have a role, though it's unclear if she will stay in a coma or be conscious once again.
Speaking with Variety, Sink confirmed Max won't be sitting down for the entire fifth season. She teased, "They love having me run. That's all I'll say."
Creators Matt and Ross Duffer also didn't share much. Matt said, "She's going to play a part in the season," with Ross adding, "But we don't want to reveal how that's possible."
