Must-Watch Natural Disaster Movies, Ranked From Worst To Best
By JOSH SPIEGEL
10. Armageddon
"Armageddon" is the quintessential disaster movie, offering a massive runtime, an epic cast, and a terrifying threat of an asteroid bearing down on Earth.
9. Earthquake
"Earthquake" is focused on a debilitating quake in Southern California that destroys basically all of L.A. Some of the plot points are a bit too soap opera-esque.

8. Towering Inferno
"The Towering Inferno" balances the disaster as a fire strikes a skyscraper, while creating some believably compelling character dramas and subplots.
7. Twisters
"Twisters" takes far too long to get going, or at least to get fun, although it's worth emphasizing that Glen Powell steals the movie from everyone else.

6. Perfect Storm
Set mostly on the S. S. Andrea Gail in 1991, "The Perfect Storm" is the true story of a group of fishermen trying and failing to get beyond that eponymous storm.
