Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice Return Was Like Watching A ‘Demon Possession’

The now 72-year-old Michael Keaton returns to a role he hasn’t played in over 30 years — the titular bio-exorcist in Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.”
When speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Burton described the process of Keaton donning the classic Beetlejuice costume and makeup as “a weird out-of-body experience.”
The filmmaker explained, “He just got back into it. It was kind of scary for somebody who was maybe not that overly interested in doing it.”
Burton continued, “It was such a beautiful thing for me to see all the cast, but he, sort of like demon possession, just went right back into it.”
