Katheryn Winnick Was Warned That Bones Would Make Her Hated

When Katheryn Winnick was cast as Hannah Burley in the sixth season of "Bones," series creator Hart Hanson warned her about the significant backlash she would likely face.
Hanson knew that fans were rooting for David Boreanaz's Booth and Emily Deschanel's Brennan to be together and wouldn't take kindly to Winnick's character coming between them.
However, he encouraged Winnick to endure the initial negativity, assuring her, "Please hang in there, because they do come around," which is exactly what happened.
Winnick herself understood the challenge, noting in a 2010 interview that she was aware her role would be controversial and might place her "in some hot water" with fans.
