Jonathan Frakes Reveals His Dream Star Trek: Legacy Cast

At the conclusion of “Star Trek: Picard,” showrunner Terry Matalas carefully set up another spinoff series — one he would call “Star Trek: Legacy” — should Paramount+ want it.
In a StarTrek.com interview, Jonathan Frakes expressed interest in returning as Will Riker, envisioning his character as an admiral and a liaison to the show's younger characters.
Frakes also shared his dream cast for “Legacy.” In addition to crew members, like Seven of Nine and Jack Crusher, he would like to see the return of Riker’s wife, Deanna Troi.
As for the other cast members, Frakes listed Jeri Ryan, Michelle Hurd, Ed Speelers, Mica Burton, Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut, and Lulu Wilson.
He shared, “It feels to me like there’s a real opportunity for three of the legacy characters’ children to carry on and sort of be the next ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation.’”
If the show happens and includes his dream cast, fans will see the children of Jean-Luc Picard, Geordi LaForge, and Riker embarking on adventures together as their parents did.
