Jack Quaid Was 'Starstruck' Watching Christopher Nolan On Oppenheimer
By TYLER LLEWYN TAING
One of 2023’s biggest upcoming blockbusters is Christopher Nolan’s biopic, “Oppenheimer,” which brings A-list talent to tell the story of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer. Joining the star-studded cast is the rising star of “The Boys” and son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, Jack Quaid, who shared his enthusiasm for the project and his experience working with Nolan for the first time.
Quaid, a long-time fan of Nolan, said about the director, “The way that he chooses to shoot scenes, he’s so absolutely confident in the way that he works. He doesn’t need to over-cover everything. He just knows that, okay, this scene is going to be two shots when I edit it together, I’m just going to film two setups. I was so blown away by that confidence.”
The actor continued, “Just to be able to see Christopher Nolan doing what he does right in front of my eyes … I got kind of starstruck, especially when he would do the ‘director’s point’, that framing thing [director’s do] with their hands. I was pinching myself every single day.” Audiences can see Nolan and Quaid’s work when the film is released in theaters on July 21, 2023.
