How To Watch Tom Selleck's Jesse Stone Movies In Order
By WITNEY SEIBOLD
Based on the novels by the late Robert B. Parker, the Jesse Stone TV movies follow the titular divorced former LAPD detective as he investigates crime in Paradise, Massachusetts.
Tom Selleck plays Jesse Stone and also co-wrote six of the movies, which feature some recognizable actors, including Viola Davis, Saul Rubinek, William Sadler, and Kathy Baker.
It’s best to watch in release date order to get the background for each subsequent movie. Released in 2005, the first movie was “Stone Cold,” based on the fourth Jesse Stone novel.
Aired in January 2006, “Night Passage” was based on the first novel and gives the Jesse Stone origin story. Novel purists can watch it first, then follow the rest chronologically.
“Death in Paradise” aired April 30, 2006, followed by “Sea Change” in 2007, “Thin Ice” in 2009, “No Remorse” in 2010, “Innocents Lost” in 2011, and “Benefit of the Doubt” in 2012.
“Lost in Paradise" was released in 2015 and marked the end of the Jesse Stone franchise. The first eight films aired on CBS, while the ninth was produced for the Hallmark Channel.
