Even Keira Knightley Didn’t Know What Role She Was Playing In Star Wars

While Keira Knightley played a pivotal yet minor role as Sabé in “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace,” she didn’t know what her part was until much later in the film’s production.
In an interview with Star Wars Insider, Knightley explained that she had to sign a "secrecy agreement" and was only given her part of the script on the day of filming.
Knightley didn’t really know anything about her character, revealing, “I didn't realize what I was doing until the last day of shooting when somebody said, 'She's a decoy.'”
She added, “I was like, 'Oh, am I? That's what I was supposed to do?' Nobody had told me.” While the movie wasn’t her breakout role, it did help get Knightley’s foot in the door.
