Carl Weathers Was Constantly Working To One-Up His Predator

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers starred together in “Predator,” and Weathers took the opportunity to compete with his cast members to see who could look the most ripped.
“Predator” follows a group of burly men in the jungle being hunted down and destroyed by an alien hunter, but there was just as much conflict happening behind the scenes.
Weathers told GQ, "We were all in our own way trying to one-up each other." Whether it was withstanding heat or working out, everyone wanted to be the best on the crew.
Many of the cast members would wake up as early as 3:00 AM to work out in Schwarzenegger's private gym, but Weathers only worked out alone so that his physique would look natural.
While “Predator” centers on Schwarzenegger, it wouldn’t be the same without the group’s banter and camaraderie, and their rapport and competition off-set helped set the tone on-set.
