Boba Fett’s Face Makes
A Sneaky Appearance In The Empire Strikes Back
By ERIC VESPE
Before Temuera Morrison donned the helmet of Boba Fett in the “Star Wars” franchise, the bounty hunter was originally played by Jeremy Bulloch in “The Empire Strikes Back.”
However, Bulloch actually played two characters in the film, as he also took on the role of an Imperial Officer — later dubbed “Sheckil” by an official “Star Wars” card game.
Sheckil was the officer responsible for laying the trap for Luke Skywalker and escorting the prisoners to Darth Vader’s ship in “The Empire Strikes Back.”
Bulloch got the role after the actor cast to play Sheckil failed to show up on set. Boba Fett is also part of this scene so Bulloch is kinda playing the scene with himself.
Although playing Sheckil came from necessity rather than being a fun cameo, Bulloch would get to make a guest appearance in “Revenge of the Sith” as Senator Bail Organ’s pilot.
