Episode 5
"Practice Makes Perfect," which is the fifth episode of the miniseries "Tales of the Jedi," includes a brief cameo that could go unnoticed unless you’re paying close attention. As Padawan Ahsoka Tano is passing her test, you'll notice a Jedi youngling and the Jedi who would eventually become his master lingering in the background, watching.
These characters are Caleb Dume and Master Depa Billaba, Caleb would go to take the name of Kanan Jarrus when he had escaped the Empire after the great purge. "Star Wars: The Bad Batch," as well as the 12-issue comic series "Star Wars: Kanan," show the challenges of his escape, but in "Practice Makes Perfect," we get to see a much more idyllic time for the young Jedi.
Master Billaba selects Caleb as a Jedi Padawan late in the Clone Wars, so this appearance involves them doing some sort of training before that event, as chronicled in Marvel comics and Jonathan Jackson Miller's novel "Star Wars: A New Dawn." At this moment, watching Padawan Ahsoka Tano test against training remotes, young Caleb seems happy, but he will face many challenges in the future.
