Wade Wilson Demands Your Sister, Er, Silence About 'Deadpool 2' Spoilers
It feels like forever ago that directors Anthony & Joe Russo asked the entirety of Marvel fans to keep quiet about spoilers from Avengers: Infinity War after seeing the movie. This was in an effort to avoid any major details hitting the web following advance press screenings, but also to respect the theatrical experience that some wouldn't be able to partake in during opening weekend. Now the folks behind Deadpool 2 are hoping you'll afford them the same respect. Kinda.
Deadpool franchise star and producer Ryan Reynolds recently posted a letter in the same vein as the Avengers: Infinity War request. Of course, since this is Deadpool 2 we're talking about, it doesn't seem quite as sincere. It's full of jokes, including a reference to the pending deal between 20th Century Fox and The Walt Disney Company (which might actually be in jeopardy). Check out the Deadpool 2 spoilers letter below.
Here's the image Ryan Reynolds posted on Twitter early this morning:
As you can see, the 20th Century Fox letterhead has been crossed out and replaced with a scribbled "TBD" as the future of the film company remains uncertain. But then they get down to business by asking that "when you see Deadpool 2 you don't say a fucking word about the fun shit you see in this movie." I'm sure that's exactly how Anthony & Joe Russo wish they could have addressed fans when asking to avoid spoiling the movie online.
Of course, the team behind Deadpool 2 seems to be spoiling some of the goods themselves by seemingly revealing a certain mutant's appearance by way of the score for the Marvel sequel. However, there's likely much more in the movie that hasn't been revealed yet. We're not sure if there are surprises that will be as shocking or exciting to fans as the end of Avengers: Infinity War, but surely there will be something that fans can freak out about.
