Experience

Steven has worked as a writer for print and online publications for seven years. He started working at Rio Hondo's El Paisano in 2013 as a staff writer before becoming Editor of the Arts and Entertainment section and eventually Editor-in-Chief. In 2015 he started writing at the Los Angeles music publication Grimy Goods, where he has spent the bulk of his career writing about the indie music scene in the form of feature stories and critical reviews. He joined Static Media in 2021 to continue growing his career as a writer, expanding his work beyond music to movies, television, and comics.

Steven has a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Azusa Pacific University.
