Here's Where You Can Stream Or Buy Every Season Of Mad Men
(Welcome to Where to Watch, which provides a clear and simple answer to the question, "Hey, where can I watch this thing?" In this edition: Mad Men)
"Mad Men" was one of the shows that made people care about AMC. Between that and "Breaking Bad," anyone who was interested in TV (specifically very charismatic and also very bad protagonists) was tuning in to get their fix of Walter White, and, in this case, Donald Draper. I know many people cite "The Sopranos" or HBO writ large as their gateway to good TV, but for me it was absolutely "Mad Men." I'd never seen anything like it, and it led me down a road paved with shows like "Game of Thrones," "The Walking Dead" (only the first season), "Atlanta," and so many others. If you missed out on all of that madness the first time around, or maybe you just want to wrap yourself in a blanket of prestige TV nostalgia, you've come to the right place.
I re-watched all of "Mad Men" fairly recently when I was grappling with a casual slice of unemployment (I'm still wishing we got those spin-offs AMC wanted awhile back too), and I can tell you that some of it holds up! There's still that unrelenting lack of diversity, which could be due to the show's period setting, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. The good news is that it's still as funny and upsetting and sexy and sad as it was when it debuted way back in 2007. In fact, you might like it even more now. With many of us still working from home all day, every day, it's nice to disappear into an office and all of its dramas. Think of Don, Peggy, and Joan as all of your coworkers.
Where You Can Stream Every Season of Mad Men
Lucky for you, it's pretty easy to get ahold of "Mad Men" in the streaming world. Since the series originally aired on AMC back in the day, you can zoom through all seven seasons on the AMC+ streaming service for less than $10 a month. If you don't want to deal with directly singing up for an AMC+ subscription on its own, you can always sign up for AMC+ via Amazon Prime.
But if AMC+ isn't doing it for you, it's also available via IMDbTV, another streaming service provided through Amazon Prime that I constantly forget exists. It's also apparently streaming on FuboTV, a service I've literally never heard of before. Your life is filled with options, and all roads lead to you drinking whiskey neat while Don Draper ruins his life on TV. A delightful way to spend an evening (or an entire day), if I do say so myself.
Where You Can Buy Every Season of Mad Men
If you're looking to burn a bonus check, who am I to say you shouldn't spend some of it on adding every season of "Mad Men" to your personal collection? Of course, Amazon Prime is always an option, where you can own each season for $5.99, which brings you to a little over $40 for the whole kit and caboodle. But if you're trying to give Amazon less of your money, Vudu has the same $5.99 option, which is just as convenient.
For those of you looking to save a little bit of cash, you can grab it through Apple TV. It takes a little bit of clicking around, but it looks like you can nab the complete series for $34.99. Think of all the things you could buy with that $6 you saved! You could go down to the liquor store and buy a little mini-bottle of warm whiskey, which is just want Don would want you to do.
We can't help but point out that the series is also available on physical media. But it should be noted that whether you're buying the complete series on Blu-ray or DVD, both are considerably more expensive than the digital options.
No matter what you decide to do, you're in for a treat. A very boozy treat.
