DC FanDome 2021: All The Movies, TV Shows, And More We Can Expect To See
DC FanDome made quite the splash when it debuted its first event last year. For fans of superheroes and all of the surrounding jazz, the online event served as a shot of life when the world needed it most. Now, DC is bringing the event back for another go-around this weekend.
With the event just around the corner, we're here to offer a look at all of the movies, TV shows, and video games that will be presenting during the four-hour, live-premiere event. While we don't have a precise schedule, we do have a big list of projects that will be showcased during DC FanDome. Safe to say, it will be a jam-packed afternoon — so here's what's on the agenda.
Live-Action DC Movies
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
Though filming is still underway, DC is promising a behind-the-scenes look at director James Wan's "Aquaman" sequel during the event. So be on the lookout for some reveals, be it some initial footage, casting announcements, or other previously unknown information.
The Batman
Perhaps the biggest of all the big things happening at this year's event is a presentation for "The Batman." The first trailer for Matt Reeves' movie blew the doors off the place last year, and it's already been confirmed that we're getting a new trailer during this year's event. Plan accordingly, Batman fans.
Black Adam
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is set to make his DCEU debut next year in "Black Adam," and Warner Bros. is promising a first look at the movie during this year's festivities. While it remains unclear what the means, precisely, we should have a better idea of what to expect from the movie come Saturday.
The Flash
It spent many years in development hell, but "The Flash" movie is finally coming, and we're getting a sneak peek during DC FanDome. We may well be getting a glimpse at Michael Keaton's return as Batman, among many other things. This could end up being the highlight of the show.
Shazam: Fury of the Gods
"Shazam: Fury of the Gods" has wrapped filming and, even though it isn't hitting theaters until 2023, DC is promising a behind-the-scenes look at the sequel during this livestream. Be on the lookout for this one during the presentation.
Animated DC Movies
Catwoman: Hunted
Not much has been revealed about "Catwoman: Hunted" just yet, but a trailer for the animated heist flick will debut during DC FanDome.
DC League of Super-Pets
The Rock is also bringing Krypto the Superdog to life in the animated "DC League of Super-Pets." We are getting some form of new content from the animated feature during the event, though it remains quite unclear what that will be. Stay tuned!
Injustice
The "Injustice" video games have been adapted to make DC's latest animated feature. The R-rated flick will be part of the festivities just ahead of its release. A sneak peek is promised, be that a clip or something more significant.
Live-Action DC TV Shows
Batwoman
DC is promising a new look at "Batwoman" season 3 during FanDome, so fans should keep this on their radar.
Doom Patrol
Sneak peeks and surprises regarding "Doom Patrol" are promised during the event. Since season 3 is currently airing it's tough to say what we can expect — perhaps a look at what's still to come for the world's most dysfunctional superheroes?
The Flash
The CW will offer a new look at "The Flash" season 8 during this year's event. Most likely, we'll get a trailer, in addition to some new details for Barry Allen's continuing speedster adventures.
Legends of Tomorrow
As the show gears up for its 100th episode, "Legends of Tomorrow" season 7 will get a showcase at FanDome as well, though there's no word yet on what's in store.
Naomi
The latest DC Comics series heading to The CW, "Naomi" will be previewed at DC FanDome. We can expect a trailer, in addition to new details regarding the show, as not much has been revealed up to this point.
Peacemaker
John Cena reprises his role from "The Suicide Squad" in HBO Max's "Peacemaker" this January. "The Suicide Squad" director James Gunn created the spin-off series, which will be releasing a teaser trailer during the event. This is expected to be one of the biggest drops of the whole event.
Stargirl
Much like the other CW shows, "Stargirl" will get a showcase at DC FanDome. Again, expect a little sneak peek of some kind — be it a trailer, clip, or some new information about the show's future.
Supergirl
"Supergirl" is getting ready to wrap up its six-season run and the show will be celebrated during this year's FanDome. This is probably going to be more of a retrospective, but something hardcore fans will likely want to check out.
Superman & Lois
As it heads into its second season, "Superman & Lois" will be highlighted during the event as well. A season 2 trailer feels like a relatively safe bet.
Sweet Tooth
"Sweet Tooth" became a huge hit on Netflix earlier this year, and the show is coming back for more. The good news is that since the series is based on Jeff Lemire's comics, from DC's Vertigo imprint, it will be among the titles featured at DC FanDome.
Titans
Much like "Doom Patrol," "Titans" is partway through its current season, so it's tough to say what we can expect from its panel at FanDome. But the show is on the schedule, so we are getting something — that much is certain.
Animated DC TV Shows
Aquaman: King of Atlantis
The three-part animated event series "Aquaman: King of Atlantis" is getting a chance to shine in the spotlight during DC FanDome. For the moment it's unclear what precisely we'll see, but a new trailer, or something along those lines, seems likely.
Batman: Caped Crusader
J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, and Bruce Timm are teaming up for a new animated series titled "Batman: Caped Crusader" for HBO Max. Despite little information being available, the buzz is high for this one. Expect to learn a lot more during DC FanDome.
Batwheels
Aimed at younger audiences, the animated "Batwheels" will be part of the festivities as well. We're probably getting a trailer and Ethan Hawke plays Batman in the show, which is pretty neat.
DC Super Hero Girls
Also in the kids department, "DC Super Hero Girls" will be showcased during the event. It's unclear what we're going to see but younger viewers may want to bookmark this one.
DMZ
Not much has been revealed about this one so far, but a new look at the limited event series "DMZ" is scheduled. This one is coming to HBO Max, and we wouldn't be surprised if a trailer drops during the event.
Harley Quinn
Rejoice, as "Harley Quinn" season 3 will be showcased this year. Again, expect a trailer, or at least a behind-the-scenes look, and possibly a confirmation of a release date on HBO Max.
Teen Titans Go!
The long-running and very popular "Teen Titans Go!" will be part of the event this year. A trailer? Some news on the show's future? It's all on the table, so keep an eye out.
Young Justice: Phantoms
Possibly the biggest animated event of them all, "Young Justice: Phantoms" is going to take the stage during DC FanDome. The much-anticipated fourth season of the beloved show is on the way and we are very likely to get a trailer, in addition to some real information, about the upcoming season. This has spotlight-stealing potential.
DC Video Games
Gotham Knights
Revealed during last year's event, we are getting a fresh look at the "Gotham Knights" video game this year. Perhaps a new trailer? We may also get some updated release information, especially with both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on the market now.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Last, but certainly not least, we're also getting a new look at the game "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League." We can expect to finally get some gameplay footage, as well as some updated release info, among other things.
DC FanDome takes place Saturday, October 16, with the showcase kicking off at 1pm ET/10 am PT.
