Here's everything you need to get ready for the first season of "The Legend of Vox Machina":
The Legend of Vox Machina Release Date and Where To Watch
"The Legend of Vox Machina" premieres on Amazon Prime Video on February 4, 2022, after multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This animated series has been many years in the making. The fantasy world was created by Matthew Mercer in 2012, before launching as the famous "Critical Role" web series in 2015. Back in 2019, the cast launched a kickstarter campaign for the animated series that not only raised enough for a 10-episode season, but also became the most quickly funded Kickstarter in history. Amazon Prime Video later acquired the distribution rights and commissioned a second season.
What is The Legend of Vox Machina?
"Critical Role" began as a live streaming web series featuring a group of friends — all voiceover actors — playing "Dungeons and Dragons" role-playing games together. It has since spun off into podcasts, comic series, books and more — including this upcoming animated series.
"The Legend of Vox Machina" is an adult animated fantasy series based on the first "Critical Role" D & D campaign. The series follows Vox Machina, a band of seven unlikely heroes who kick off a grand adventure in a desperate attempt to pay off their bar tab, but end up on a quest to save the realm from terrifying monsters and dark, magical forces. The first two episodes of the series will tell an all-new story about the team, introducing the characters before adapting the Briarwood arc from the original web series.
