Pictures had director Mel Stuart take a look back at the making of the film in this retrospective video. The filmmaker shares some of his fond memories while a variety of archival photos take us back to the film's production all those years ago.

Next, in case you didn't know, The Birdcage is a remake of the movie La Cage Aux Folles, a Franco-Italian comedy from 1978, and they're both movies from MGM.
