Avengers: Infinity War has been in theaters for 42 days, and one fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has taken full advantage of that by seeing the movie no less than 43 times in theaters. Yes, you read that right: 43 times.

The fan goes by Nem: The Infinity Watcher on Twitter, and he's been documenting his Infinity War exploits there since early May, starting with his sixth day watching the movie on May 2. What's even more surprising is that he's a totally down to Earth, normal dude. He just loves Marvel movies, like, a lot.

ComicBook.com picked up on the story yesterday, and since then he's become a Twitter moment. Here's a thread featuring each and every time Nem has seen Infinity War since May 2:

You might be thinking to yourself, "Yeah, I could take a picture everyday in front of an Avengers: Infinity War poster at a movie theater too." But Nem seems to be the real deal, because he's also posting updates of his ticket stub collection as further evidence of his presumably record-setting viewing habits:

Because of Nem's dedication to seeing Infinity War so many times (he hasn't indicated if he's shooting for a certain number or not), people have some questions, which he's happy to answer:

Some of the more cynical reactions have told Nem that he needs therapy. Others are hellbent on pointing out how much money he's probably spent on tickets, especially since he doesn't have MoviePass (and even if he did, it wouldn't help in this situation anymore). But Nem has the perfect, thoughtful response for those who just don't understand:

Hard to argue with that. But at the same time, Nem has spent 114.6 hours of his life watching Infinity War. With that time he could have listened to over 114 albums, or even written and recorded an album himself (which is something he apparently does on the side since he took a few days off seeing Infinity War to record a music video of some kind).

Here are some other things Nem could have done instead of seeing Avengers: Infinity War 43 times:

  • Watch the Lord of the Rings: Extended Cut 10 times with some time to spare.
  • Run around 25 marathons
  • Sit through three high school graduation ceremonies
  • Attempt to watch the Death Wish remake 344 times but keep turning it off after 20 minutes
  • Listen to all the podcasts your friends keep asking you to listen to
  • Have a tasty cheeseburger
  • Solve world hunger
  • Don't feel so guilty about eating another cheeseburger now that he's solved world hunger
  • Stop Thanos

    • Who knows what he's going to do when Avengers 4 comes out. But in the meantime, Nem is showing no signs of slowing down since he celebrated his newfound internet fame the only way he knows how:
