'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' TV Spot: Rexy Vs. The King Of The Jungle
After seeing a raptor crash through a window to outrun an explosion in the latest Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer, I started to get a good feeling about this film. It looks like J.A. Bayona, the newest director in this ongoing franchise, has blended up a nice mixture of action and suspense while sprinkling in a few fun moments of self-awareness. That continues with this new Fallen Kingdom TV spot, which showcases Rexy (the main T-rex from the films) roaring in the face of a lion inside a zoo enclosure.

We've seen a lot of this footage already in previous trailers, but this one's narrated by Jeff Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm, providing an ominous speech to all who will listen. And he's not the only one with words of warning.
"We're not on an island anymore," says Chris Pratt's Owen Grady. And there's no proof of that more evident than Bayona's delightfully entertaining image of a roaring Rexy facing down a lion in a zoo. It's a meeting of apex predators previously separated by eons, and it's in line with the sorts of juxtapositions Steven Spielberg has crafted multiple times throughout this film series.
But as Grady grits his teeth and says, "This has to end," we know there's still at least one more movie in store for this franchise. But hey, at least we know Jurassic World 3 won't feature hybrid dinosaurs again.
It's been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.
When the island's dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who's still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.
With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom opens on June 22, 2018.
