Marvel's 'The Defenders' Teaser Announces The Return Of Misty Knight & Karen Page
Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist were all confirmed for The Defenders before they were even cast, and happily it looks like some of their friends will be along for the ride as well. A new Defenders teaser announces that Daredevil's Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Luke Cage's Misty Knight (Simone Missick) are both slated to return. Watch it below.

The Defenders teaser ends with the tagline "Those who surround us, define us," which seems fitting considering Karen and Misty are both supporting characters in other people's shows. (At least for now — there have been occasional rumors of a Misty Knight spinoff, but nothing concrete yet.) Luke Cage wouldn't be quite what he is without Misty Knight on his side, and Daredevil's buddy Karen Page has been so helpful, she's even returning for The Punisher to help out some more.
Besides Woll and Missick, The Defenders will also bring back Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and Finn Jones as Iron Fist. Sigourney Weaver has been cast as the villain, although the identity of her character remains under wraps. Those seven are the only cast members officially confirmed for The Defenders so far, but several more actors seem likely to return, including Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple.
There's lots of returning talent behind the camera as well. Daredevil's Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez will serve as showrunners for The Defenders, and Jessica Jones director S.J. Clarkson will helm the first two episodes.
No exact release date has been announced for The Defenders, but it's expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2017, after Iron Fist and probably after The Punisher.
