'The Boss Baby' Teaser Trailer: Starring Alec Baldwin As A Cute Widdle Baby
It's a familiar joke that the baby is the real head of the household. Family life revolves around the whims of its youngest, most unpredictable member, and all the attention in the room immediately goes to him or her. But what if the baby weren't just a metaphorical boss? What if the baby were a real boss, with a tiny business suit and a mean coffee addiction and the voice of Alec Baldwin and everything?
That's the premise of The Boss Baby, the new animated comedy from DreamWorks. Baldwin voices a bratty little baby whose arrival upends the life of his older brother, 7-year-old Tim. Sadly, this is not an adaptation of Beck Bennett's hilarious "office boss" recurring sketch from Saturday Night Live. Watch the Boss Baby teaser trailer below.
The trailer looks like a pretty typical comedy about a former only child annoyed by the appearance of a younger, cuter rival for their parents' attention... and then takes a hard left turn into bizarre territory when the kid discovers his new baby brother is actually a boss straight out of a stereotypical 1980s comedy. He can even walk and talk like a tiny adult, although like a child he still has a tendency to fall asleep at random. It's not a bad gag, but can it sustain an entire feature film?
The Boss Baby opens in 3D on March 31, 2017.
DreamWorks Animation and the director of Madagascar invite you to meet a most unusual baby. He wears a suit, speaks with the voice and wit of Alec Baldwin, and stars in the animated comedy, DreamWorks' The Boss Baby. The Boss Baby is a hilariously universal story about how a new baby's arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator, a wildly imaginative 7 year old named Tim. With a sly, heart-filled message about the importance of family, DreamWorks' The Boss Baby is an authentic and broadly appealing original comedy for all ages.
