Westworld Episode 4 Trailer "Dissonance Theory" Teases The Maze
We are three weeks into Westworld, and it has already become my new obsession. HBO has released a sneak preview of the fourth episode of the series, "Dissonance Theory." Hit the jump to watch the Westworld episode 4 trailer, read the official synopsis and learn more.
Westworld Episode 4 Trailer
The forty-second teaser above isn't much, but it serves as a great tease for next week's episode. We see head programmer Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright) apparently telling Evan Rachel Wood's character Dolores Abernathy about the maze.
"The goal is to find the center of it, than maybe you can be free."
It seems like Bernard is the puppet master behind the new changes in Westworld, and Anthony Hopkins' character Doctor Ford also has his own grand plans. But will he have opposition? And Ed Harris' The Man in Black is chasing a new narrative, but to what end? What do you think might be going on here? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
Here is the Westworld episode 4 official synopsis:
Dolores joins William and Logan on a bounty hunt in the badlands. The Man in Black, with Lawrence in tow, finds a critical clue in his search to unlock the maze. Dr. Ford and Theresa discuss the future of the park. Maeve is troubled by a recurring vision.
The episode is directed by Vincenzo Natali, the filmmaker behind Cube and Splice. Vincenzo has recently been kicking ass in television, directing episodes of The Returned, Orphan Black, Hannibal, The Strain, Wayward Pines, Luke Cage and the upcoming series Star Trek: Discovery. Also notable is that the episode is written by famed comic writer Ed Brubaker alongside showrunner Jonathan Nolan. The comic legend recently explained how he became involved in the series, serving as producer and heading up the show's writers room.
Westworld episode 4 entitled "Dissonance Theory" will air on October 23rd, 2016 at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.
