'Ash Vs. Evil Dead' Season 2 Featurette & Key Art Teases Ash's Return To Elk Grove
The first season of Ash vs. Evil Dead came to a spectacularly bloody end back in January, but the battle isn't over for our favorite Deadite killer. A new featurette reveals just what Ash and his pals have been up to since then, and teases what's waiting for them upon their return to Ash's hometown of Elk Grove in season 2. The video also offers a glimpse at new characters like Ash's dad Brock (Lee Majors) and Ash's childhood BFF Chet (Ted Raimi). Watch the Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2 featurette and check out some Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2 key art below.
Ash has been living it up in Jacksonville, but as Ray Santiago (Pablo) puts it, "evil has a funny way of finding us." When it becomes apparent the truce is over, Ash and his buddies Pablo and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) strike out for Elk Grove. As it turns out, Ash does not enjoy the best reputation back home, on account of that time he went crazy and slashed up his friends. But Ash is eager to set the record straight. "I did not go crazy," he insists. "I knew exactly what I was doing when I chopped up my friends." Yeah, that'll definitely make people feel better about him.
Also in Elk Grove are Ruby (Lucy Lawless), who reluctantly turns to Ash for help when it turns out her children have grown up to be demon spawn, and a new character named Linda (Michelle Hurd), Ash's high school sweetheart. Pity the poor citizens of Elk Grove, because as Bruce Campbell explains, "It's good versus evil. But our good is not that good, and the evil is really bad."
Ash vs. Evil Dead kicks off its ten-episode second season on October 10.
The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.
The cast is led by Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, "Burn Notice") in the role of Ash Williams; Lucy Lawless ("Salem," "Spartacus") as Ruby, who now possesses the powerful Necronomicon; Ray Santiago ("Touch," Meet the Fockers) as Pablo Simon Bolivar, Ash's loyal sidekick dealing with the trauma he suffered in the cabin; and Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas) as Kelly Maxwell, who, grief-stricken after the death of her parents, plots revenge against The Evil Dead.
