Carrie Coon Is The Chief Of Police In 'Fargo' Season Three
FX's Fargo attracts no shortage of talent. Season three of the hit drama has already landed Ewan McGregor, and he's taking on two roles as the Stussy brothers. Joining McGregor is the star of The Leftovers, Carrie Coon, who's been consistently remarkable in the HBO series.

The outlet that broke the news of McGregor's casting, TV Line, has learned who Carrie Coon is playing in the series. The actress will play Gloria Burgle, a character described as "a practical woman who grabs the fire extinguisher when the bacon catches fire and everyone else panics." She's Eden Valley's chief of police. Gloria, a recently divorced mother, has difficulty connecting with today's world. She can't understand why people are more interested in their phones than what's going on around them.
Season three of Fargo takes place a few years after the events of the season one. Set in 2010, a character from season two may star alongside Coon and McGregor, unless series creator Noah Hawley has changed his mind since his initial discussions with FX. In the next chapter of Fargo, McGregor plays Emmit and Ray Stussy–two brothers that couldn't have turned out more different. His brother, on the other hand, is a "cautionary tale," a balding man with little in life, except for maybe his beer belly, that blames his brother for his lack of success. Being
As a proud family man and the Parking Lot King of Minnesota, Emmitt is the classic American success story. His brother, on the other hand, is a "cautionary tale," a balding man with little in life, except for maybe his beer belly, that blames his brother for his lack of success. Being Fargo, we can probably expect some violent confrontation between the two, which could maybe lead to Sherrif Gloria Burgle's involvement in the story.
Coon and McGregor are the only two actors that we know of attached to season three, which is tentatively scheduled to begin filming later this year and to air in 2017. Sadly, the wait for season three is a bit longer than the norm, and Hawley has said if Fargo continues past season three, we one day may have to wait even longer for the series' return. Taking a page from the Louis C.K. playbook, Hawley could see himself waiting "four years" until he has another idea for Fargo worth making.
Fargo season three will air next year on FX.
