VOTD: Secret Cinema Presents 'The Empire Strikes Back'

As we heard last spring, Secret Cinema put on an event last summer for The Empire Strikes Back, widely regarded as the best film in the Star Wars saga. As usual, details on the special event across the pond were unknown, but now a new video takes you into the immersive cinematic experience complete with Rebels, Stormtroopers and much more. It looks like this event covered more than just The Empire Strikes Back since the reenactment features A New Hope moments with Princess Leia Organa in her white dress and Obi-Wan Kenobi fighting Darth Vader. The screening appears to have taken place in a warehouse mocked up to look like a base, belonging either to the Rebels or Galactic Empire.

Honestly, I didn't think this looked as cool as what Secret Cinema did for Back to the Future, but that moment with the giant X-Wing swooping over the audience was pretty damn cool.

And for those curious, Secret Cinema has another event coming this year, but this time it's one of their "Tell No One" events. That means no one is going to know what's going on until the event opens. Due to the style of the website where you can buy tickets, guesses for the event range from Dr. Strangelove to Fantastic Voyage to Running Man. If you're curious enough, you can buy a ticket yourself, assuming you'll actually be in London to attend.
