You Can Watch 'Jack Frost' Six Times Next Month Thanks To ABC Family
The holidays aren't exactly right around the corner, but that won't stop Christmas commercials from airing any day now. Christmas is over a month and a half away, and some people are already looking forward to all the holiday food, family gatherings, and gifts.
Another perk of the holidays? Movies. Watching films to get in the Christmas mood is always a fun part of the holidays. ABC Family, once again, is doing their 25 days of Christmas, and they've made a few odd choices with their lineup this year.
See what movies you can watch on ABC Family next month after the jump.
There are far more bad Christmas movies than good ones, so it's not surprising to see some of these films (e.g., Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone) aren't even about old Saint Nick or the little baby Jesus. Still, why a network feels compelled to air Jack Frost starring Michael Keaton (Spotlight) six times in one month is beyond me. Do kids even like that movie? It's not the only bad holiday movie that'll air during the 25 Days of Christmas.
A few of these titles are absolutely worth watching if you don't already own them, like the Toy Storys or The Nightmare Before Christmas. But most of my personal go-to Christmas movies didn't make the cut: Catch Me If You Can, Die Hard, Scrooged, It's a Wonderful Life, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. (Probably because they're not exactly on-brand for ABC Family.) The first of those, especially, is a great, depressing Christmas movie.

Both showings of Richard Curtis' delightful film are well before nighttime. Maybe ABC's kid viewership is more mature than we initially thought.
