'The Happening' Honest Trailer: One Of The Best Comedies Of 2008
This week brings a new M. Night Shyamalan film to theaters with the horror flick The Visit, following two children visiting their grandparents only to find them acting uncharacteristically peculiar and potentially dangerous, thereby scaring any kids from staying at Nana and Pop-Pop's house ever again.
Hopefully this is a return to form for Shyamalan, and in case you need a reminder of how bad things can get when he misses the mark, take a look at The Happening Honest Trailer. Even if you were still on board the Shyamalan wagon after The Village and Lady in the Water came out, there's no doubt that The Happening gave everyone dysentery.

Whew. I forgot just how many times people said "happening" in this movie, though I guess I shouldn't be surprised. But I certainly didn't forget just how ridiculous and hilarious all of the suicides are in this movie, bringing up more laughs than you'll ever have in a Kevin James movie, that is unless you're laughing because of how bad that movie is as well.
Everyone should be ashamed to be in this movie. It's a low point for Mark Wahlberg, an actor who recently delivered the line "I think we just found a Transformer." And what is Zooey Deschanel even doing in this movie?
If you were to make this movie black and white, it wouldn't feel out of place in the 1950s as a cheesy horror movie. Horribly written and inexplicably over-acted, it's just an absolute travesty that makes no damn sense whatsoever. But having said all that, it's still nowhere near as awful as Shyamalan's attempt to make The Last Airbender. And in case you need a reminder as to how awful that is, here you go:
Which is worse, The Last Airbender or The Happening?
