I want to learn the ways of the Star Wars Bits and become a Jedi Knight like my father. Here's what we have in today's round up of news from a galaxy far, far away
StarWars.com announced the first season of Star Wars: Rebels will hit Blu-Ray and DVD on September 1st:
Here's the special features with each version:

Author Alan Dean Foster, the man writing the novelization of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, talks a bit about the access he was given to in order to do his job. The author says:
"Just the screenplay, plus some concept art and production visuals. I really wanted to have access to the latter so that if I describe something, or someone, in the book, it matches what actually appears on the screen. You know how fans are. If I give someone sideburns and in the film that character appears without them, it will give rise to 468 blog entries."

If you've been watching Star Wars Rebels, then you know that Sabine has a new look. Executive producer Dave Filoni talked about why they changed the character a little bit, and it makes perfect sense:
"Changing things up has to do with her interaction with Darth Vader — in that episode she does a pretty bold thing and takes aim at him at one point and fires at him, which doesn't go so well for her because she doesn't know who this guy is. So after that attempt on Vader, she gets blasted back and carbon scores her helmet and decides to change up her whole look after that –- kind of a new Sabine after that experience."

If you're a fan of the Black Series action figure line, more specifically the detailed and impressive 6-inch line-up, then we have good news. You get to help choose what the next figure in the series will be. Head over to StarWars.com to find out how to vote. Pretty much any character in the Star Wars universe, including the non-canon Expanded Universe, is fair game. You have until June 30th to get your vote in.

StarWars7News.com found this promotional banner on Twitter. Sounds like stores are getting ready to promote Star Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise.
Some new details about how one of the locations from Star Wars: The Force Awakens featuring Luke Skywalker may come into play in Episode VIII have surfaced. There's a lot of speculation here, but beware of spoilers just the same if you feel like checking out the full article at MakingStarWars.net right here.
Episodes were aired out of order when Star Wars: Clone Wars was still an ongoing series, and this has also been a problem with The Clone Wars Legacy content being release recently for some reason. Because of this issue, Lucasfilm has clarified the chronology of these stories that happen during The Clone Wars. Find out more about that at Star Wars Underworld.
Game producer DICE spoke out about the disappointment fans have with the lack of a single player narrative mode in Star Wars Battlefront, explaining why they decided not to focus on that element of gameplay:
"Yes absolutely, and it's not as though we haven't done single-player before. I would agree with you, our single-player has not been as strong as our multiplayer. But then again you could argue that we are comparing our campaigns with what some say are the greatest multiplayer games in the world. If you try to match that, you are probably doomed for failure. Or at least, it's very, very hard."
And if you were looking forward to controlling the AT-AT on the Battle of Hoth, Eurogamer says that won't be possible, and they also explain why that makes perfect sense. For more on DICE's approach to the game, read the full interview over at Gamespot.
Finally, there have been plenty of rumors about Rey (Daisy Ridley) in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. More specifically, there's been a lot of chatter about who her parents might be. Now a new rumor debunks some of the theories out there. It's a potentially big spoiler, so we'll let you decide if you want to read the full story at MakingStarWars.net.
That's all for Star Wars Bits this time. Stay tuned for more soon!
