'Dragon Blade' Trailer: Adrien Brody Menaces Jackie Chan, Catches Swords
Money makes strange bedfellows in filmmaking. As an example, here's the first major US Dragon Blade trailer, showing off the film that unites Jackie Chan, Adrien Brody, and John Cusack in a story of Roman forces marching into China. The film was already a massive success in China earlier this year, no doubt because of Jackie Chan's enduring popularity and relentless promotional efforts at home. Or perhaps people just like seeing very odd combinations of actors and action. Check out the trailer below.
Dragon Blade will be available for your sword-throwing pleasure in theaters and on VOD on September 4. Trailer via Lionsgate.
When corrupt Roman leader Tiberius (Adrien Brody) arrives with a giant army to claim the Silk Road, Huo An (Jackie Chan) and his group of trained warriors teams up with an elite legion of defected Roman soldiers led by General Lucius (John Cusack) to maintain the delicate balance of power in the region. To protect his country and his new friends, Huo An gathers the warriors of thirty-six ethnic nations together to fight Tiberius in an incredible epic battle.
