'Batman V Superman' Synopsis Sets Up A New Danger To Mankind
Warner Bros. has released the official synopsis for the studio's March 2016 release Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the brief text will give you some clues as to how and when the two title characters throw down. Hint: it's probably not in the climax of the movie. (But you already knew that.) Read the Batman v Superman synopsis below.
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.
As we knew, the story follows on from the events of Man of Steel, and that's pretty clear in the setup indicated above.
The question is what the nature of that threat may be. Lex Luthor doesn't seem like a threat that can place all of mankind in danger. Or is he? Can Luthor threaten everyone to that degree, and even pose enough of a threat that he draws Aquaman and Wonder Woman in to the battle? Or will will see early rumors borne out, and find that there's far more to worry about than Lex?
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman. The film also stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Holly Hunter, Jeremy Irons, Tao Okamoto, Scoot McNairy, Callan Mulvey, and Jena Malone.
The film opens on March 25, 2016.
