Kevin Feige Phase 3 Updates: 'Thor: Ragnarok,' 'Black Panther,' 'Inhumans' And 'Captain Marvel'
With Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man bringing a close to Phase Two this year, 2016 ushers in Marvel's massive plans for Phase Three. It starts with Captain America: Civil War, continues with Doctor Strange, moves into Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Spider-Man and beyond all leading to Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2.
We know who is writing and directing all of those movies. As for the rest of the Phase three films, things are a bit more murky. So we asked Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige about them. Feige gave us updates on Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Inhumans and Captain Marvel. Some updates are more significant than others. Below, read the Kevin Feige Phase 3 updates.
Here are the quotes from /Film's interview with Feige.
Kevin Feige Phase 3 Updates
"Thor 3 is being scripted right now and I think we get a draft soon. Particularly [Chris] Hemsworth is hounding me during this junket so I'm going to push the writers [Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost] to hurry.""Black Panther same thing. I have some director meetings set in the next few weeks once [Avengers: Age of Ultron] gets out the door. And casting is already underway in many ways. Some of which you know about, some of which you don't.""Inhumans is way down the line.""Captain Marvel, we're ready to announce writers hopefully in the next week or two."
When Feige says they're still working on scripts for these, that usually means they won't go out to directors until that's complete. The same goes for actors. A script is the key that unlocks everything else.
In case you don't know about the other Phase Three films, here's how those break down.
