Final 'The Interview' Red-Band Trailer: "This Is A Major Event"
Lost in all the commotion surrounding Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's The Interview is the question of whether the movie itself is actually worth seeing, for reasons other than patriotism. Personally I'm a fan, but your mileage may vary if you're not into that kind of thing. So to help you make up your mind, Sony has released one final The Interview red-band trailer. Watch it after the jump.

The last The Interview trailer really drives home how silly this movie is. It was never intended to be a capital-I Important movie. Were it not for the Sony hack and all the stuff that followed — the terrorist treats, the subsequent cancellation, the sub-subsequent VOD/limited rollout — it probably would've been a film we saw, enjoyed, and largely forgot by the time 2015 got going. It's not even as distinctively weird as Rogen and Goldberg's last feature, This Is the End.
Basically, if you tend to enjoy Rogen and his sense of humor, you'll probably enjoy The Interview. Rogen and James Franco have an appealing chemistry developed over many projects together, Diana Bang and Randall Park are fresh and funny, and it makes great use of Katy Perry's "Firework." On the other hand, if you hate his usual schtick, all the controversy and fuss surrounding it isn't going to make those dick jokes any funnier.
The Interview is available now VOD (including Google Play, YouTube, and iTunes) and in limited theaters.
In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show "Skylark Tonight." When they discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un.
