Cool Stuff: 'The Good The Bad And The Ugly' Poster By JC Richard
Audiences probably didn't realize at the time, but Sergio Leone's 1966 western The Good, The Bad and The Ugly was a landmark. It would become one of, if not the, iconic films in the careers of Leone, its stars Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef, composer Ennio Morricone as well as one of the most recognizable and imitated films in the Western genre.
All that makes it the perfect piece for a beautiful, limited edition poster, and Skuzzles is happy to oblige. The Canadian company has hired meticulous and lyrical artist JC Richard to do a beautiful screenprint of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, which goes on sale December 23. We're proud to exclusively debut The Good The Bad and The Ugly poster below.
Here are the two versions of The Good The Bad and The Ugly poster by JC Richard.

What I love about this poster is that not only does it perfectly depict the film's most iconic scene, it's just so damn "Western." The graveyard, the mountains, the foliage, the sky, all of it just feels dusty somehow. That's largely because Richard, who has done amazing work for Mondo, Gallery 1998 and many more, has a style that's simultaneously realistic, but also kind of dreamy. When you get a good look at his work, you see that the images aren't as strong and crisp as they look from afar. They're slightly more spotty and rough, which makes them unique.
