'Mad Max: Fury Road' Trailer: How Does This Movie Even Exist?

I just listed Mad Max: Fury Road as my #1 most anticipated movie of 2015, and right on the heels of that list we've got a new trailer for the film. Watching this, my primary question is: How the hell does this movie even exist? This looks like pure, wonderful insanity, and like nothing we'd expect from the modern studio system. This seems to be a sequel that may barely be a sequel in modern terms; an orgy of practical effects and automotive destruction; and if some of those quick insert shots are to be believed, a dose of pure weirdness. MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is the fourth film of George Miller's Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise co-written and directed by Miller. The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.

Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order...
