Here Are Over 30 Marvel 'Star Wars #1' Variant Comic Book Covers
If projections hold, Marvel's 2015 comic book, Star Wars #1, written by Jason Aaron with artwork by John Cassaday, will be the best-selling comic book in the past two decades. Rumor has it a million copies of the book could be sold when it's released on January 14.
Part of the reason for that is Marvel will be telling a new story about what Luke, Han, Leia and the group did between Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back — that's largely an unexplored few years in Star Wars lore. Another reason is Marvel is going straight Nineties with the variant covers. At least a dozen variant covers of the comic will be released on newsstands, and several retailers have commissioned their own variants to be sold only in their stores, bringing the total over 30! It's going to be a huge event.
Below, we've complied all of the Star Wars 1 variants we've found so far. Check them out below.
