The Hobbit: The Complete Journey Trailer: One Epic Trailer Binds The Trilogy
Since the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, I've been saying that once Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings prequel trilogy is released some fan will edit together an awesome epic three hour movie using all the footage. Well with The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies gearing up for release, we are already beginning to see what this might look like.
Los Angeles-based editor Joel Walden has edited together a trailer for what he calls The Hobbit: The Complete Journey, which yes combines footage from all three films into one epic film. Watch the trailer embedded after the jump.
The Hobbit: The Complete Journey Trailer
Joel Walden explains why he created The Hobbit: The Complete Journey trailer:
With Peter Jackson's final chapter in the 'Middle Earth Saga', 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' hitting theatres worldwide next week, I thought it would be fun to create a trailer that promotes his cinematic retelling of 'The Hobbit' as a single epic piece.
The trailer supercut contains footage from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies alongside Howard Shore's score tracks 'My Dear Frodo', 'Over Hill', 'Brass Buttons', 'The Dwarf Lords', 'A Good Omen', 'An Unexpected Party', 'The Nature of Evil', 'Flies and Spiders (Extended Version)' and of course the epic 'The Return of the King: Trailer Music'.
