Wild 'Star Wars Episode VII' Han Solo Rumors Fly Online

There aren't many things everyone agrees on when it comes to J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII. One of those, however, is that Han Solo is the star of the film. Exactly how Harrison Ford's iconic scoundrel plays into the story is much more murky, though. Is he a mentor figure to some of the newer characters? Does he lead the adventure on his own? Will he make it to the next film? We've heard rumors about all of that and today we've got a few more. One has to deal with different looks the character will have in the film, and the second is so crazy, it might just be true. Below, read the latest Han Solo Star Wars 7 rumors.

The first set of Han Solo rumors come from Indie Revolver. That's the site which posted the rumored Stormtrooper photos, and it also came upon a few possible concept drawings of outfits Solo is wearing in the film. You can see them at this link.

SPOILERS BEGIN

The photos show Solo in his snow outfit from The Empire Strikes Back as well as a more distinguished looking Captain type outfit. (Which, as some have pointed out, looks just like Mal's in Firefly.) There have been rumors of a snow planet playing into the plot, and certainly Solo has come up in the ranks since Return of the Jedi. In those ways, the outfits make sense. What makes less sense is the presentation of these outfits on the site. A single finger holding them up on a wall? Ford looking less like he does in real life and more like an artists rendering? These things are incredibly fishy. But still, if the Stormtrooper helmets are real, these could be real as well.

Either way, they don't reveal much. That's very different from what Badass Digest is reporting. In one of their previous reports, they teased a plot where Han Solo and Chewbacca are not flying the Millennium Falcon in the film. Rumor has it, they lost the ship while gambling, and Oscar Isaac's character has it. They'll have to get it back. But Han and Chewy need to travel around in something and, according to the site:

Han and Chewie are piloting a Super Star Destroyer....I believe the Falcon is in the hands of Oscar Isaac's character, who is very much the Lando Calrissian of this movie – all the way down to wearing a cape. There are other familiar spaceships in this movie, including three variations on TIE Fighters. There's the classic design, the TIE Interceptor and a new generation TIE Bomber – the pods on these are stacked, not side-by-side.

Then they add one more gem. One that will send chills down the spines of Solo fans:

Back to Han – you will get to see him use a lightsaber once again.

That last part, while exciting, is probably less Han engaging a villain with a saber and more him swinging it wildly. Even so, that's pretty exciting.

But why would Han and Chewie be flying a Super Star Destroyer? It seems incredibly excessive, especially since you'd imagine those ships take hundreds of people to fully fly. Well, maybe they aren't alone for one. Or maybe it's just a visualization of their state of mind. A way to just say "F the World" since losing their trademark ship. If it's just them, maybe it's all broken down and crappy and not running to full capacity. It's at least 30 years old, after all.

In the end, should you believe any of these rumors? That's up to you. They seem incredibly far-fetched but if I said to you in 1982, "Little teddy bears beat the Empire" you'd think the same thing. With Star Wars, anything is possible.
