Power Rangers movie release date
We don't know a lot about the film, but we do know that it will essentially reboot the story of the five masked teen warriors that hit the US as Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers back in 1993. In the film, "a group of ordinary high school kids who find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers and must harness those powers as a team to save the world."
Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are writing the script; Haim Saban, Brian Casentini, Allison Shearmur and Roberto Orci are producing.
The release date sandwiches the movie between the next Bourne film (opening on 7/15/2016) and the next Planet of the Apes film, set for July 29. Also opening on the July 22 date is Guy Ritchie's planned King Arthur movie.
