'Captain Underpants,' 'Madagascar 4,' 'Puss In Boots 2' And 'Croods 2' Get Release Dates

Briefly: DreamWorks Animations just gave release dates to four future animated films, three of which are sequels. First is the new one Captain Underpants. Directed by Rob Letterman, it already has a voice cast and has already started recording. It'll be released January 13, 2017.

Then there's The Croods 2, which will hit theaters November 3, 2017, Madagascar 4, out May 18, 2018 and Puss In Boots 2: Nine Lives & 40 Thieves, out Nov. 2, 2018. They previously announced Kung Fu Panda 3 for December 23, 2015 and How to Train Your Dragon 3 on June 17, 2016. [ERC Box Office]
