'Are You Here' Trailer: 'Mad Men' Creator Makes His Feature Debut
Did the swift arrival of the end of the short 2014 season of Mad Men get you down? (Yeah, yeah, "mid-season break," whatever. We still have yo wait a year for it to finish.) Well, now the show's creator has something new for you to check out. Once called You Are Here, the first feature film from Sopranos writer and Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner is now called Are You Here. The comedy, which stars Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis, and Amy Poehler, hits in August, and the first Are You Here trailer has arrived.
Will this really sate your Mad Men urges while we wait for the last episodes to air? Maybe not. Reviews of this film out of TIFF were pretty dismal. While Weiner tells EW that this theatrical version has seen some significant re-edits post-TIFF, it's difficult to have much faith that the overall effect will be much different.
Are You Here opens in theaters and on VOD on August 22 . Trailer via Yahoo.
When his off-the-grid best buddy Ben Baker inherits his estranged father's fortune, womanizing local weatherman Steve Dallas joins forces with him to battle the legal challenge brought by Ben's formidable sister.
