Here's What Jubilee Could've Looked Like In 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past'
It may have felt like every mutant ever conceived had a cameo in X-Men: Days of Future Past, but in fact there were a few that didn't quite make the cut. One of those was Jubilee, a fan-favorite comic book character who's never been a major player in the movies.
Thanks to some revealing concept art, though, we now have an idea of what she could have looked like. Hit the jump to get a peek at her dystopian style — along with some discarded designs for characters we did see, like Iceman, Blink, and Bishop.
For comparison, here's what these characters actually looked like in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Looks like Bishop's cape only got more dramatic as the process went on. Apparently they don't have The Incredibles in the terribly depressing timeline that he comes from.
Jubilee appeared in all three of the original X-men films (played by two different actresses, Katrina Florece and Kea Wong), but hasn't played a significant role in any of them. Her absence from X-Men: Days of Future Past is a bummer for her fans — although based on how little we saw of most of the other classic characters in that film, it's unlikely she would've had a whole lot to do anyway.
Odds are she won't be a big player in X-Men: Apocalypse, either. That film is set in the '80s, so Jubilee would be, at most, a small child. In fact, depending on when in the decade it takes place, she might not even exist yet. At least we'll have young Nightcrawler and Gambit to look forward to.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is in theaters now. X-Men: Apocalypse opens May 27, 2016.
