Steven Spielberg's 'Halo' TV Series Set For Fall 2015
We know some details about the parceled out Halo "digital feature" that will hit screens in the near future, but until now we've known little about the flagship Halo series that Steven Spielberg is producing for Xbox Live and potentially Showtime. Now, however, we know that Spielberg's Halo series will arrive in fall 2015, alongside the new game Halo 5: Guardians.
Variety announces the pair of release dates, or release windows at least. Showtime and Xbox Entertainment Studios are in talks now to finalize a deal that will see Halo episodes premiering first on Showtime, then hitting Xbox Live.
All we have about the new series, however, comes from the general manager of current Halo game production company 343 Industries. Bonnie Ross said today that the new series "will stand alone, as well as complement and enrich the game experience." She said of the upcoming game, "Halo 5: Guardians is a bigger effort than Halo 4. That applies to the content and scope of the game, as well as the technology in what's now a brand-new and more powerful engine.
Expect more Halo series and game news in June when E3 takes place in Los Angeles.
