'Jeepers Creepers 3' Back In Motion
Briefly: Jeepers Creepers, the horror series that writer/director Victor Salva created in 2001 and continued with a sequel in 2003, featured a supernatural killer who spends every 23rd spring hunting for 23 days. The killer's goal? Collect body parts to absorb into his own physical form. It's only been 10 years since the last rash of violence, but the guy reportedly coming back to screens anyway. Jeepers Creepers 3 is, according to STYD, enjoying "renewed movement." There's more than just "movement," actually, as the sequel has supposedly already done a day of shooting.
Salva would only go on the record to tell the site, "there may finally be some very good news for those waiting for the third Jeepers film to go before the cameras."
We don't know what the story for the film might be. There was a point when a third film, provisionally subtitled Cathedral, was talked up, with Trish (Gina Philips), the survivor from the first, teaming up with Jack Taggart, Sr, and Jack Taggart, Jr from the sequel, to end the terror of the Creeper (Jonathan Breck) who had victimized them all. That may or may not still be the plan.
