'Horrible Bosses 2' Adds 'That's My Boy' Director Sean Anders
Horrible Bosses 2 hit a snag last month when director Seth Gordon dropped out due to scheduling conflicts, but they're back on track now that they've hired a replacement.Sean Anders, director of That's My Boy and Sex Drive, has signed on to helm. Also climbing aboard is Anders' frequent collaborator John Morris, who'll produce. The pair most recently scripted We're the Millers, which also starred Horrible Bosses actor Jason Sudeikis. Hit the jump for more details on the project.
Their other recent collaborations include a draft of the Mean Girls-esque Mean Moms, which like Horrible Bosses is set up at New Line. They've also taken a pass at the screenplay for Dumb and Dumber To, which is barreling toward a fall start at Universal.
Additionally, they were working on the football comedy Three Mississippi as of last year, though it's been a while since we've gotten an update on that one. The film was to be directed by Anders from a script they wrote together.
Anders and Morris reportedly beat out a few other contenders to land the Horrible Bosses 2 gig, including Todd Strauss-Schulson (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas). They've already done a rewrite of the script. The original draft came from John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who penned the first film.
Plot details for Horrible Bosses 2 have not been revealed. Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jamie Foxx will reprise their roles from the first film. Production is expected to get underway this fall.
